Center for Energy, Energy Sources, Environment and New Technologies

The Center for Energy, Energy Sources, Environment and New Technologies is being constructed by Utilities Ltd. in Sliven, Bulgaria. The Center will be a ground for distribution and promotion of new technologies in the energy and HVAC sector with an emphasis on renewable energy sources and new efficient materials preserving the environment.
The idea behind the project comes from the objective to work on projects for effective use of energy. Our task will be to find matching projects (between investors and developers), look for optimal solutions, and create partnerships for their implementation, while monitoring the whole process. The proximity that we have to the end customer, our continuously expanding information database, and our team of energy management professionals that are currently being trained, will enable us to take the place of that missing intermediary between the demand and supply of energy projects.
The Center is being constructed in the form of an eco-building. Various energy-saving and renewable energy source technologies (listed below) will be integrated during construction.
Utilities Ltd. has a pending certification under article 16, paragraph 5 and article 18, paragraph 2 of the Bulgarian national law on Energy Efficiency in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2002/91/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union concerning the energy performance of buildings. The company is a member of the National Installation Union, which is a promoter for a better and more efficient work environment for energy and installation companies.

Division Energy Sources (petrol, water, wind, biological sources, solar energy, geothermal energy). Development of renewable energy projects;

Division Energy Efficiency (ESCO contracts; energy efficiency audits; change and renovation of heating systems of buildings; energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprises; joint projects in the stockbreeding and agriculture fields for the realization of energy efficient and environment-friendly activities; organization of seminars and trainings);

Each division will have its own engineering design bureau, qualified fitters, and data bases providing for companies that may act as subcontract developers for bigger projects.
Green building
Energy Center | Utilities Ltd.
The whole building in itself is a demonstration of sustainable development. Energy-saving and RES systems will be incorporated in the construction of the Center in order to demonstrate how such systems function and what energy savings could be achieved. This is also part of our contribution towards CO2 emission reduction and preservation of the environment.
Incorporated systems include:
* Floor water radiant heating/cooling, with the network of cross-linked polyethylene pipes integrated in the floor slabs before the concrete is poured;
* Solar photovoltaic panels on the roof for production of electricity;
* Low temperature sources: a cascade of a solar system, a geothermal system, a pyrolitic boiler, and a condensation gas boiler;
* Ventilation systems for fresh and clean air, equipped with a highly-efficient air-handling unit with a heat-exchanger, which will utilise the heat/cold of the air flow;
* A system for gathering of rain water, which will be used for maintaining the hygiene of the building;
* Optimal heat insulation;
* Energy-efficient lighting;
* Building automatisation, environment-friendly construction materials.
Construction goes through 2 stages

Stage 1: Warehouses (1350 m2) - completed 100%.
Stage 2: Office part (1800 m2 with possibility to expand to 2500 m2) - completed 15%.
The warehouse-commercial part is an exhibition for the different products on sale. Retail as well as wholesale is possible. Here you can see all goods as well as receive professional consulting services.
The office part will have conference halls, exhibition and demonstration halls, engineering offices, halls for meeting clients and discussion of projects, cafe and canteen, recreation halls such as a fitness center, etc.
